TIPS FOR SCORING 79+ in PTE ACADEMIC SPEAKING SECTION

Hi Friends,

I am writing out this post for all of those, who are pursuing their dreams to migrate or to go for higher education in universities abroad. Many struggle to score 79+ in Speaking section, but i would say PTE Speaking Section is by far the easiest in PTE Academic Exam. All you need to know is what type of question are there in this section and which section carries how much marks and how to answer the questions.

Most important thing is that, few tasks even contribute score to your other section as well, for instance; READ ALOUD - contributes for both Speaking as well as for Reading scores.

So, Get Set to ROLL!!!!!!!! 👱

It is very important to know how the PTE system scores each Task. Below are the tasks in Speaking section and to which all sections they contribute points.

And this is how the marks are distributed to various tasks across modules:

So if you ace the speaking section, it gives you 58 points additional in listening and reading put together.

Tips to 90 in Speaking:

  • The Trick is not to stop or correct your sentence while you are speaking into the microphone.
  • One your are done with the answer, click on the NEXT button immediately. Otherwise, the computer will score you less in Fluency
  • Describe image: in most of the PTE exams, graphs come as a describe image. You may form a format to speak it. And, so can go with pie charts. When it comes to processes and pictures, you need to describe it the way you see the images. Don’t analyze the images, i.e., don’t try to speak every single piece of information you have there. You should not miss key points such as the highest and lowest values on the images.
  • Retell the lecture: noting down the keywords as mentioned for the Listening section helps. Pauses and hesitations should be kept at bay because they are the main culprits to blame for the low score in Speaking. Every single word matters and thus, you need to be aware of the content spoken. If you listen to the lecture in a slipshod way, you will be losing contents points. However, you may fill the speech with your own words; it’s okay as far as you are speaking some lecture-relevant stuff.
